Yachtwhere Social networking site Launches!

We finally got Yachtwhere onto a live URL today at 9:39 AM EST. Yachtwhere is a new social networking site for the yachting community around the globe. The site will integrate GPS positioning and mapping technology with state-of-the-art social media tools to give members to option of creating a free personal profile page and a profile page for their boat. Available tools will include blogs, albums, messaging, a marketplace and more. This is just the first stage of the "front end "of the site, the heavy lifitng which means pulling GPS signals from boats at sea is being handled by the 'backend team." Yachtwhere is an early stage development company being incubated by an alliance between Shark Communications, Frank Canovatchel (senior web professor at Champlain College) and Gary Savard -head of KGS software development company. Hats off to lead web developer Caroline Harris who has spent many a night and weekend building the site, Mike Porrata and Tony for their research, counsel and programming support. Pete, out.
The Woodstock Inn Hotel and Resort
Shark Kicks Back Inn-Woodstock.
We just started to work with the team at the Woodstock Inn, in Woodstock, VT. I forgot how beautiful it was down there (we don't get out of Burlington enough) and now with the Inn becoming a true resort with a beautiful fitness center, golf, tennis, new contemporary dining and a state-of-the-art spa to open, it's a first-class luxury resort. Here's our first work for the Heritage Golf Package.
New Things at Northern Power

We just completed initial work on a new design system and identity for Northern Power - which is going though it's own reorganization. Spearheaded by Maureen McCraken and Eve Frankel, the first work on a brochure for the company's Northwind 100 product will set the stage for further development of an organized graphics system across traditional media and the web.
Connecticut-based Peoples United Bank gets new web site for Bank of Western Massachusetts
The migration of six bank web sites located in four states around New England commenced with the launch of the Bank of Western Massachusetts - www.bankwmass.com The new site was built on David Castrucci's Coretomic platform which continues to power more and more finanical sites around the country. All of the sites are integrated along a common platform managed by teams at Shark and Coretomic. The service provides comprehensive support, and if the banks we're smart they would start reviewing add-ons and enhancements that would move the sites towards what David calls "powrful online business centers."
